Worle Community School Academy (WCSA) made 250 face masks in one day, as The Priory Learning Trust schools (TPLT) help the NHS fight the battle against Covid-19.

The students aged 11 to 14 and staff across have been making hundreds every day at Priory Community School Academy (PCSA) for local doctors, Weston General Hospital, Musgrove Hospital in Taunton, and the Children’s Hospice South West.

The King Alfred School Academy (TKASA) made 338 in one day.

We are delighted to be able to help in any way to help the NHS in their extremely difficult job. Our staff have really risen to the challenge.
— Principal of WCSA, Jacqui Scott

Michelle Michael of the Grand Pier and other businesses have been providing materials as the partnership expands.

PCSA Principal Angelos Markoutsas and Head of DT David Clay started the process and, with the help of students and the Grand Pier, they have been able to satisfy some of the expanding demand.

All our schools are at the heart of the community and so we are delighted to help out this initiative to help the NHS.
— Neville Coles, Executive Principal of TPLT

Goggles have also been delivered from all the schools to help hospitals in Weston-super-Mare and Taunton.
