WCSA Transition day 2019

On Tuesday 2nd July WCSA welcomed the new Year 7 students from our feeder schools. They were fabulous! All students were kept busy with a morning spent with their tutors, getting to know their new class mates and finding their way around school. After a quick refuel of flapjack they had a good run around on the field.

After break, students spent time in art or science completing fun tasks linked to the curriculum here in September. During period 4 they all swapped around and spent time doing the other activities. A free lunch of spaghetti bolognaise, or a vegetarian alternative, went down very well. The day finished in the hall where they were treated to some musical entertainment from our older students. The transition video made throughout the day of them taking part in all areas of the school was also shared with them.

The day was finished off with some awards from the team and students that had shined throughout the day were awarded a badge, but to be fair the whole group were marvellous!

In the evening Mrs Brace, Miss Scott, Mr Griffin and the tutors got to meet parents and carers to share important information with them.

WCSA Year 7s for 2019/20: it was a pleasure to meet you all; I just know you are going to be an awesome year group. I hope you have a fabulous summer and I look forward to seeing you all in September.
