Principal Jacqui Scott said “We want to thank Pappadoms for this amazingly generous offer. Our students and staff were absolutely thrilled with the delivery.”

Pappadoms had asked parents in Weston-super-Mare to nominate their school, which parents did in big numbers across the community.

The takeaway also gave food to other schools across the town including Priory Community School Academy and St Anne’s Church Academy.

Takeaway owner Sayd Ahmed has been displaying acts of kindness since long before coronavirus, as he has regularly been giving meals to homeless people for 14 years.

He says that giving back, and in turn being appreciated by your peers, is one of the best thing you can do.

He said: “We want to show our appreciation on behalf of the community and ourselves to all the teachers throughout the lockdown looking after the children of the keyworkers.”
