Student Uniform during the cold weather

Student Uniform during the cold weather

The risk assessment for opening the school during this period of time states that all rooms must be kept well-ventilated. This is because the scientific evidence indicates that the virus is less-easily spread in these circumstances. In the majority of cases, this means that the doors and/or the windows need to be kept open, but the heating is on in the school. In the event that the heating fails, we re-room the students.

We are allowing students to keep their coats on in the classroom if they are cold and teachers have been told this. We would also advise that students wear under-garments, eg “skins”, to help them to stay warm. Wearing a number of layers can be a very effective way of maintaining body heat.

Please ring the school on 01934 510777 if you have any serious concerns about this. Thank you.
