Homework Support:

We recognise that sometimes students forget, do not yet see the value in home learning or have internet access at home for brief or extended periods. In order to assist students with completing homework, we run a dedicated homework support session every Wednesday, after school in S11. Students who do not complete their homework by the deadline will be invited to this session. If the support we offer is not made use of and Sparx deadlines are missed 3 times in a term, students are set a centralised 45-minute detention.

We believe from our own experience that homework, especially review of previous knowledge (which is what Sparx Science is great at!), is crucial to student's securing the best possible outcomes. This is also backed by educational research from the Education Endowment Foundation. We hope that we can count on your support as parents/carers to ensure your child's homework is completed on time. Do look out for emails from Sparx Science which tell you what has been set and what has or has not been completed.

Thank you in advance for your support; we really appreciate it!
