Home Learning

Home Learning for Art will be presented in booklet form. During each learning cycle, homework will require students to research new information, practice skills or consolidate existing knowledge that has been delivered during their lessons.

In addition to the homework booklets, it is encouraged that all students practice their drawing skills as regularly as possible, as this is the fundamental skill within Art.

Students are issued their home learning booklet at the start of the learning cycle with fortnightly deadlines, which links to knowledge and skills covered during lesson times. This helps to consolidate students' understanding and help them develop as artists. Students are required to present their homework to their teacher during their art lesson, homework will then be marked and verbal feedback will be provided where necessary.

Students failing to complete their art homework will be issued a missing homework point on classcharts, due to the impact it has on their artistic development. If students lose their home learning booklet, they will find them on google classroom, where they will need to print off a replacement.
