Key Stage Three Home Learning

KS3 English Homework is completed on the Sparx Reader app and uses the same log in details as Sparx Maths.

The Parents’ Guide to Sparx Reader is available here.

You should be currently receiving a weekly email from Sparx Maths that updates you on your child's homework progress that week. The email is sent 3 days before the hand-in date of their Maths homework.

There is also a callout in this email which mentions that Reading homework information is also available to view. 

If you click on the link in this email, you will get taken to the Sparx parent portal, where you can choose to view homework progress for any Sparx learning system your child is using. For Sparx Reader, you can see progress with the current and previous homework, and browse books that your child has been reading as part of their current homework. 

Please note that each email contains a unique link to the Sparx Parent Portal, and this link will expire 7 days after the email was sent.

Key Stage Four Home Learning

Home Learning for Key Stage Four is completed via Google Classrooms. Students will receive a weekly homework task designed to support revision for GCSE English Language and GCSE English Literature. In response to student voice surveys, we will post all the tasks for the learning cycle at the start of the unit, however the submission dates will be staggered weekly in line with the whole school home learning policy. 

Students are also encouraged to access the revision materials and past paper questions available on Google Classrooms and supplement their homework with weekly revision activities to enhance and consolidate their knowledge.
