Football Academy

In January 2013 The Football Academy opened for invited students in Years 9 & 10 that continuously show high standards of behaviour and commitment to school, PE and extra curricular clubs. The Academy training sessions take place in the morning before school between 7:15-8:15 twice a week, mainly focusing on improving technical skills, tactical knowledge and etiquette. Already the progression and improvements have been seen as both year groups teams finished runners up in the North Somerset Schools Tournament, having failed to qualify to the knockout stages in previous years. This Academy will be opened up to more age groups next year, with the aim of improving all students who attend, to play for school/club/county or higher as well as getting Worle ‘back on the map’ winning some trophies.
