Weston student is aiming to be a highflying marine after tremendous success in the sea cadets.
Ethan Adams, aged 12, of Worle Community School Academy has been in the Weston Sea Cadets for two and a half years and has earned his Commodore's Pennant - the highest award in the Junior Cadets.
He moved up to the senior cadets in February and has entered rowing and sailing competitions, earning power boating qualifications at the same time.
He is also working towards his first aid certification.
He also plays football for Banwell FC and achieved most improved player of the season.
Principal Jacqui Scott said: “This is an absolutely wonderful achievement. Ethan is a credit to the school and has a brilliant career ahead of him.”
